This cable protector sleeve clips onto the Apple MagSafe 2 charger cord where it leaves the L-shaped magnetic connector. That bend point is where the thin round cable cracks and frays on older MacBook power adapters.
The one-piece ribbed spine lets the cord flex while spreading the strain, so the wires inside stop kinking at the joint. It snaps over the existing cable without tools and grips the connector housing to keep its position, a good fix for cords that have started to split near the magnet.
